The PiC 9300 from MAHLE Industriefiltration is a robust, portable contamination measuring system for quick and easy particle counting on-site.
The new PiC 9300 portable contamination measuring system features simple, menu-driven operation and a laser sensor with 12 channels for accurate, reproducible results. It can be used for both suction-side and pressure-side operation. An integrated suction pump makes use of an innovative pump system to achieve flow regulation independently of viscosity and pressure.
The measuring cell is flushed automatically prior to each measurement. An adjustable measuring mode allows single and cyclic measurements, as well as long-term measurements of up to 330 hours. The system has a storage capacity of 1,400 readings (up to 99 series of measurements). The counter is calibrated according to ISO 11171: 1999 (NIST), and particles are classified according to ISO 4406: 1999 as greater than 4, 6, and 14 µm in size or according to SAE AS 4059 Class 000 to 12. Absolute particle counts are displayed in all channels. Measured values can be output to a PC via a serial interface or USB port. A second USB port enables data to be saved to a USB stick in an Excel-compatible format. Data can be conveniently analyzed on the PC using the optional "Log and Show" software. An integrated thermal printer is also available in the counter. The counter displays the threshold contact when particle counts exceed or fall below a preset class.
An optional sampling and adapter case is available to facilitate the correct, professional removal of liquid samples from a hydraulic system for subsequent analysis. The case contains glass sampling bottles—cleaned in accordance with DIN-ISO 5884—along with the necessary accessories for reliable sampling. It also contains all essential adapters for connecting the PiC 9300 to a hydraulic system.
System configuration:.
The PiC 9300 portable contamination measuring system consists of a sensor with a pump/volume regulation unit, particle counter with touchscreen display, and an integrated printer. All system components are housed in a polyamide plastic case. Connection ports for the suction, pressure, and return lines are located inside the case. A separate compartment is available for the electric connector cables and connector hoses.
